Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and What Box Labs, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company ("we", "us"), which operates Wanting To (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Subscription & Refund Policy, which are part of these terms.

1. What Wanting To is, and isn't

Wanting To is a private communication tool for people who are already in a relationship. Partners connect with each other by invitation, privately mark their comfort level with intimacy and relationship topics, and see where they match, so they can talk about it. It is not a dating or matchmaking service: there are no public profiles and no way to search for or contact strangers.

A match is not consent. Choosing a Preference is a private statement of interest only. Consent must be asked for and freely given, every time, by everyone involved, and can be withdrawn at any moment. The Service never gives or records consent on anyone's behalf.

The Service provides general information and conversation prompts. It is not medical, psychological, sexual-health or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). We may ask you to verify your age.
• You may have one account, for yourself only, and must keep your login and two-step verification details secure.
• You may not use the Service if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms.

3. Your content and your privacy

What you enter (Preferences, messages, Agreements, journal entries and the rest) is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, encrypt it, and show it to you and to the partners you choose, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't sell it and don't use it for advertising.

Messages are text-only. You are responsible for what you write and for respecting your partners' privacy: don't copy, publish or share another member's Preferences, messages or personal details without their permission.

4. Rules for using the Service

You agree not to:

• involve, describe or refer to anyone under 18 in any intimate or sexual context;
• pressure, threaten, harass, stalk or coerce anyone, or use the Service to track or control a partner;
• connect with someone who hasn't agreed to connect with you, or impersonate anyone;
• offer, advertise or solicit sexual services, escorting, paid content or any commercial sexual activity;
• post content that is illegal, sexually explicit imagery (the Service doesn't allow photos in messages), or that promotes violence or self-harm;
• attempt to access other accounts or our systems, scrape the Service, test its security without permission, or interfere with its operation; or
• use the Service for anything unlawful where you live.

We may remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal activity (especially anything involving a minor) to the authorities.

5. Plans and payment

The Free plan includes 1 partner connection and up to 10 Preference selections. Premium costs $9.99 per month plus any applicable tax, renews automatically each month until you cancel, and is processed by Stripe. Cancelling, refunds, failed payments and price changes are covered in the Subscription & Refund Policy.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile; deletion is immediate and permanent, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is required to be closed by law. If we close a paid account without a breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of your current month.

7. Changes to the Service or these terms

We improve the Service over time and may add, change or remove features. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change; if you don't, you can cancel and delete your account.

8. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the Service secure and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for how members behave toward each other, online or off. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety.

9. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, What Box Labs, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using the Service and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.

11. Disputes

If you have a problem, please contact us first. Most things can be fixed quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, USA. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, or in small-claims court where you live if it qualifies. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.
